| Class 5 The generative impulse is the Greek world. Stories bring the Gods, arhitecture and the devotion to the physical body to the eleven yar old child. The student is beginning todevelop an understanding of time and to space, body image and to take on individual tasks and research. English in class 5 teaches dictation, history of English, eloquence and dictionary. Maths focuses on volume, mass, weihgt, graphs, decimals, maths in nature, geometric patterns and finance. Science includes Austalian weather, ecology environment and physiology. HSIE looks at ancient Greece, Australian exploration, Australian society, other people, other places and Asian studies. Sport lessons include athletics, gymnastics, swimming, mini Greek Olympics natural horsemanship and riding. Visual Art includes watercolour painting, 3D carving. Craft includes pottery, clothes design and papier mache. Performing Art teaches dance, choir, mime and pantomime. Technical studies includes kiln firing and book binding. |
